Check'd is a politically charged hip-hop group from the Pacific Northwest. Their sound is unique and eclectic, with a wide variety of influences. With their 'Soul Sonic Force-meets-Rapping Rodney charm, [Check'd] fights valiantly for the title of "most meta hip-hop outfit in Portland."'

Check'd spawned out of Portland, Oregon in May, 2006. Since then, Check'd has recorded two EPs, one full length album - titled Project: Reconstruction (P:RC) - and does shows regularly in the Eugene and Portland areas. Check'd was founded by MC's Onegin Offegan, Jon the Rappist, and King Oliver. Together, they recorded The Check'd EP in July, 2006. In December of 2006, trumpeter Your Funk joined the band and helped record The Non-Violent Fist EP.

In the summer of 2007, Testament joined the group as an MC to complete the quintet that recorded Check'd's first full length album - Project: Reconstruction. P:RC also marks the first full length release on Haunted House Records, the record label owned by King Oliver and Onegin Offegan of Check'd. Check'd is driven to create political music that is reproduced in sustainable ways. All CD packaging is hand made by Check'd using 100% recycled paper.

Based out of the Campbell Club Student Cooperative, in Eugene Oregon, the Alder Street All-Stars came together in late 2006 to play a fund raiser aimed at helping a member of their community facing deportation. Received well by the audience and having a good time playing together, the band kept it up. Radical politics, outlaw culture, and a passion for life are at the core of their work. The All Stars have been noted for their unique brand of honky tonk music which draws on a wide range of influences stemming from the diversity of the members backgrounds.

Their first CD, Beer Made, was released late in February 2008 and copies have been flying ever since. Production struggles to keep up with demand as orders pour in locally and from New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, even France, prompting rumors of a Alder Street tour in 2009 to give audiences around the world a chance to hear the sound that's rocking Eugene's bars and dancefloors: The Alder Street All Stars.

a performance group currently based in Eugene, Oregon. Zin. creates music and visuals in a live environment using computers and electronics.



Dr. Offegan is an electronic musician. He hails from Portland, Oregon, but is currently located in Eugene where he attends the university of Oregon. Testament is an emcee from Brooklyn, NY. He is currently based in Eugene, Oregon where he works with many groups, including Check'd. He plans to have completed his first solo album this year.
